Eva's mother later married Anne Frank's father Otto, after they both lost their spouses in the Holocaust. Eva was exceptionally close to her step-father and he later gave her the Leica camera he had used to take the iconic images of Anne. Eva watched first-hand as Anne's diary became an international phenomenon and has worked tirelessly for the Anne Frank Foundation for decades. Eva's story is a compelling first person account that brings out the full horror, prejudice, loss - and occasionally the humanity - experienced by ordinary people during the Holocaust.
